In Rockville, 11 people are running for four spots on the city council. Matt Bush met with Waleed Ovase, a candidate who has to face a question the others don’t.

Tomorrow, August 19th, 2009 I am going to Rockville City Hall to turn in my forms to be put on the ballot for Rockville City Council! Everyone should come out and show their support if they want to see the youngest person in Rockville History run for City Council. We’re meeting in Town Center at 12:30, and then going over to City Hall!

Hey Everyone,
I have all the signatures I need to be on the ballot for Rockville City Council. In the next few days I will be going out on the streets once again to get more signatures in case any of the signatures I already have are invalid.
Everyone is invited to see me turn in the forms to be on the ballot on Wednesday August 19th, 2009 at Rockville City Hall at 1pm.

This week’s signature obtaining effort is focused on College Gardens/Plymouth Woods area, and although we started late, we still obtained 14 signatures, which means we only have 20 more to go! :D
Next week, on a date to be specified, we will submit all the forms so that I may be on the ballot. If you’d like to come by with the entire campaign staff, you are more than welcome to! :-)

Candidate Ovase here. Both the campaign staff and I have decided that since the time to announce my candidacy is drawing near, I should refer to myself in a more formal manner, so there it is.
I almost have all the signatures I need, and if it wasn’t for this hot weather, I would have had all of them.
At this point, I’m just ready to get to real campaigning! And of course, the Candidates Forum.
